Vision:

Aryaloka’s vision is to create a Society/Sangha environment base on Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity taught by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in which every human being has got opportunity to fulfil their needs, regardless of their background or beliefs.

Create an atmosphere where youth from different caste background mix without discrimination and to create friendly supportive non-violent learning environment.

Mission:

We aim to contribute to the realization of that vision by imparting computer education to the deprived section of the society at much lesser fees and at affordable cost. These affordable fees will help Aryaloka to cover running expenses and to invest in new computers and other improvements to its services, which include self-sustaining and developmental aspect of the Aryaloka. We do also come across some such students who have good academic potentials but have no resources to take desired education. We are happier to find full scholarships for such students.
We also emphasis on a quality practical education creates a sound foundation for the future careers of students. Love, friendship, courage, Independence, decision-making, determination, confidence, vision and professionalism are some of the many benefits students gained through the Aryaloka.

The name of this project is “Aryaloka Computer Education”. It is known in short as ACE and the project is based in Plot No. 136, Laghuvetan colony, North Nagpur (Maharashtra) in India.

ACE is a computer-training center registered as a charity.

History

ACE is the brainchild of a Dhammachari Aryaketu and Dhammamitra (mitra who has asked for of ordination) Mr. D. H. Maiske in Nagpur. Dhm D. H. Maiske is a remarkable man, married with children, in his forties and a well known in Nagpur as a Professor of computing Technology. And he is the head of the computer department at an engineering collage the name: VNIT (Vishweshwar National Institute of Technology) in Nagpur.

Two years ago Dhammamitra Robert Mason (now Dh. Karunika) delivered a two-day workshop in Nagpur on how to start businesses and projects. One of the participants was a Dhammachari Aryaketu has taken initiative with the help of Mr. D. H. Maiske and they decided to start ACE. They worked on a project plan and sent copies of the drafts by e-mail to Karunika, who is the man having tremendous experience of establishing new businesses in UK and has been thinking to help as many as TBMSG’s people in India to establish their own/individual businesses or corporate/group businesses or right livelihood projects.

In November 2000, Ven. Suvajra presided over a special opening ceremony. ACE opened its doors in the south Nagpur, with 12 workstations, two teachers, and a small administration team. Most of the funding for the project was raised by Mr. Chandu Maiske, through donation from non-resident Indian friends i.e. friends working abroad in USA and Malaysia and he has also mortgaged his own home. In addition the rest of the members of team, Dhammamitra G. S. Nagrale, Dhammamitra M. M. Ate, Dhammamitra Ram Lihitkar, Dhammchari Saccadhamma and Dhammachari Aryaketu have raise remaining funds from local people in Nagpur in the form of loan (without interest), that was needed. In fact they took out a sizeable loan to do this; a particularly courageous act when you know the circumstances in India.

Aryaketu, who was recently married, gave up a safe job for TBMSG to come and work full time for ACE on a much lower salary than his already low salary! This was also a courageous thing to do in India where there is no social welfare system if things go wrong you are in serious trouble.
