Purpose

 
Computer literacy and awareness is gaining a topmost place in Public life. It will be impossible to measure the upliftment of any society in absence of this education. The revolution in the field of Information technology will therefore have direct impact on social and economical revolution of the society. It is the need of the day that every individual needs to equip him-self with the knowledge and tools of this developing field. With this aspect in mind we felt that the poor, backward classes and Ambedkarite masses needs to be immediately brought into this fold.

No doubt there are several Institutes trying to deliver this education, but their unaffordable fees structure for the corresponding course content has become a major obstacle for the poor and middle class families to avail this education for their wards. We under the auspicious of “Aryaloka Computer Education & Information Technology” have taken the responsibility to impart and develop computer skills so as to prepare the young generation to withstand the challenges of the days to come. This is a Social Project emerged out of Karuna (The expression of Spiritual practice) as the social commitment for the social cause of the society. Through this project we intend to impart computer education and develop software skills amongst the students at an affordable cost. 
 
The necessity of this project assumes a prime importance solely for the reason that the job potentials will henceforth be available only in the field of Information technology. Rest of the job avenues are practically narrowing down creating deep frustration amongst the young generation in particular and the society in general. The Government, Public Sector, Public Undertakings and potentials abroad that the job opportunities in this area will be to the tune of several lacs, in next three years, project it. It is therefore necessary that we prepare ourselves to benefit out of this demanding situation. 
 
As a part of our social commitment we are imparting this education in much lesser fees than the other Institutes. The teaching staff is highly academically experienced and technically sound. Classroom teaching will be more exhaustive and practice on computers will be extensive. To monitor the progress of and individual the batch size is restricted to the optimal academic standards. Courses are designed in a manner to suit National and International requirements. The growth of any individual in this field will depend on the interest and efforts one puts in. 

The basic aims in implementing this project are : 

• To promote computer literacy amongst students of poor and middle class background, at an affordable cost. This affordable cost will include self-sustaining and developmental aspect of the Institute. 

• To impart education and skills to cater for the present day needs of the Information technology profession. 

• Preparing to face the challenges of the Information Technology revolution. 

• To assist students in finding placement in overseas software projects. 

• To establish the project in the main commercial area of North Nagpur, Plot no. 136, Kamptee road, Indora sq. Nagpur -14, Maharashtra, India. 

• At later date income from the project will be used to expansion and development of the Institute. It is anticipated that it will take five years to fully develop the infrastructure of the project. 

Teaching Program : 
Realizing the necessity of computer education requirement for every individual, we had identified three areas and levels, based on which our teaching pattern is designed. 

• Level –1: For the younger generation who wish to take up this field as their profession, certain software development skills need to be developed which match the national and overseas requirements. For this purpose we are imparting training in the area of C, C++, Data Structure, AutoCAD-2000, 3D-MAX, FLASH, Photo Shop, Oracle8i, Visual Basic 6, VB.net, ASP.net, C#.net, Red Hat Linux, CCNA, MCSD, MCSE etc. 
   

• Level –2: For people of any background and age for whom computer literacy is the major requirement, we had designed the courses which gives them exposure to the present day computer culture. For this purpose we are imparting training in the area of MS-office 2000, Tally Package 6.3-6.00, DTP (Desktop publication include Page Maker 6.5, Corel draw, Photo shop) and MSCIT (Maharashtra State Certificate in Information Technology).
  This certification course will be conducted by Maharashtra Govt and making this course mandatory for all government employees and non-employess as well. 
   

• Level –3: Young children (Age below 12 years) cannot be kept away from the mainstream. Students from socio-economically backward section of the society do not get any exposure to this latest technology in their schools. We had evolved the concept of Children Park, wherein children are given exposure to use of computers. The main idea behind this is to develop the confidence amongst the children and make them more friendly with working on computers. 
  
  We have been functioning at all three levels since November-2000.
